Ok so every once in a while you get a family that reminds you of something. The B family I had tonight were awesome! So much fun and genuinely friendly. I had a blast photographing this family and seriously are they not gorgeous? So what did they remind me of? Well “Family” of course. This is the time of year where you remember to be thankful. Whether its the impending holidays or just the excitement that is in the air. The B family reminded me of just that. I wish all the families out there a happy and healthy holiday season and the good fortune to be surrounded by family.
Ok so normally I would put a portrait of the children following the family because thats what the mamas and the papas would like to see. But today we are going to switch it up. Here is why….

Todays Beaumont Library session brought a GORGEOUS family and the lovely Nadine! This family wow cant even describe how lovely their personalities are! It was wonderful to see 2 big sisters doting on their little sister. You could tell their was a great friendship between them all. I am absolutely thrilled to have met you all. Then we have Nadine! Now Nadine doesnt know it but I have wanted to photograph her for quite some time. Today I got the opportunity and wanted to take one of her photos and make it vintage. Hope you all enjoy!

November 24, 2009Last night was the first of the library sessions @ the Beaumont Library. I got to meet these three beautiful children! I couldn’t ask for a more well behaved group and ready to laugh and tell jokes. That made my night! You cant beat a good knock knock joke. Here are you sneak peeks. Was a pleasure to meet you all.

Just another shout out for the upcoming library sessions. November 23-26 from 4-8 pm. This is a great opportunity to support your community and get a portrait done at the same time. So often we look back at the pictures of ourselves and our children and it brings a smile to our face or a certain memory that will forever be cherished. I am proud to be able to help with that! While down Calgary way I was able to photograph the amazing Jardine family! We have become friends over the years and getting chosen to photograph them is an honor. C their son is the sweetest boy and the most ticklish ever! He was totally going to drive his dads truck (dad drives toooo slow.) We got to share some Timbits on our tour of Olds while braking every once in a while to grab another pic. I had a blast and look forward to seeing that little guy again. November 16, 2009I had the great privilege to see [b]ecker in Calgary this past weekend. Amazing wedding photographer! FUNNY GUY! I swear I cant say that enough. I laughed my butt off learned a lot and met some amazing photogs while there. I just cant say enough! Afterwards we had a dinner at a local pub and the schmoozing began. What an awesome event to be able to meet your peers and get to talk to someone that has information you need to know as a photographer! Here are a couple of pics from our night! (Not my photos)

November 9, 2009This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Tokar Family. We went to one of my favourite spots only to discover my fav wall had been painted over. So plan B was put into effect. We took a walk and discovered a couple of murals, train tracks and staircases. Here is a sneak peek of our Sunday.

Well I have some great news to share. On Monday November 23- Thursday November 26 from 4-7:30 Sweet and Sassy Photography will be at the Beaumont Alberta Library taking Christmas portraits! This is a fundraiser to keep the programs in the library going for all. We are also taking food donations for the Food Bank as well as mittens and toques for the children. This is a great way to contribute to your community and get your portrait done as well. There is a display and sign up sheet at the library. If interested please go in and sign up. With your food donation you get a free 5×7! You also get a free 8×10 with every sitting! We are offering some great gift ideas for family and friends or just for Mom and Dads desk. Don’t miss out! Looking forward to seeing you all there.
