My favourite spot in the house is always the one where there is a good book and a warm throw to snuggle in. I love this time of year because it usually involves some twinkling lights as well. Lately Ive had my kindle in hand. Quite frankly its easier to hold and so much better for the environment but sometimes feeling the pages in hand and holding onto a book with some meat to it brings comfort as well. All that’s missing is a crackling fire….someday

Sorry folks I am a day late with this posting. So today you will get two posts (post 2 will be later this evening) Christmas brings all sorts of inspiration and ideas plus creativity to my home. Suddenly my children want to do more crafts and so do I. It also brings fresh faces, rosy cheeks and a complete laziness after shoveling all our sidewalks and driveway. So nothing says warmth like a bowl of hearty soup. This week I chose to make the Toscana soup from the restaurant my children love. I complimented it with some nice crusty baguette. It was divine!

Here in the Imbeault household we do Hot Chocolate RIGHT! Here you see some Rolo hot chocolate with Marshmallows, whipped cream (the real stuff), caramel sauce and sprinkles. Heart attack in a cup I tell ya.
